Microsoft to Ubuntu : F*@CK Y$U
October 22, 2009
This is a classic, I surfed over to Agency Spy to read his post about the new Windows 7 boot sequence, thinking hey if it’s really fast or really good, maybe I’ll switch from Ubuntu. So visiting the site, the embedded video wasn’t able to run on Ubuntu Linux, and the reason, it’s done only in Silverlight.
So if you wanted to see the Boot Sequence for Windows 7, here it is.
Great Advertising for the new OS, clearly now I see how it boots…it’s convinced me that what I am using now is no where near as good as the attached Windows 7 boot sequence.

Yes, good fun for you Ubuntu users. Move on to Windows 7! :)
Microsoft does not believe in cross platform support for programs Like Silverlight.
The only reason to come up with Silverlight was to displace Flash from Adobe who bought it from Macromedia. Oh the joy of closed source proprietary software.
But the Ubuntu version of Silverlight is Moonlight… Should be no big deal? I'm confused…
And Microsoft is working with the Open Source community on Moonlight. It's been around quite awhile…

moonlight is the slightly retarded cousin of silverlight (it doesn't work on all content and eats ram and processor like crazy)
