Meet Nicholas Francisco AKA Alex Martin former Publicis West Ad Agency Executive

February 11, 2010

This is bad, really bad. Former Ad Agency Executive Nicholas Francisco has been found living under the name Alex Martin. Thanks to some good reporting from KIRO 7 TV they found Nicholas Francisco AKA Alex Martin

But almost two years after his disappearance, Ming Laven realized KIRO 7 had to look for someone entirely different: A man whose driver’s license says “Alex Martin.”

And they found him in Los Angeles.

He was living with a roommate, doing freelance design work out of this duplex.

His cover blown, he reluctantly sat down with us for a few minutes.

Ming Laven: What were you trying to get away from?

Francisco: Everything.

Ming Laven: Such as?

Francisco: Literally everything. I needed to leave and that’s what I wanted to do.

Ming Laven: Was it hard to leave your kids?

Francisco: Yeah. Everyone else, not so much.

His ex-wife Christine had been waiting for two years to hear what happened.

“To hear it and hear it from his mouth, that’s hard. It’s reality,” said Christine.

In the meantime, she gave birth to their third child — alone.

And she’s tried to explain to 4-year-old Noah and 6-year-old Zea why dad isn’t around anymore.

“He chose just as much as I did that he wanted to have those three beautiful kids, and he does have a responsibility to them,” said Christine.

“You know, it’s sad that I can’t be a part of that, but I don’t want to be around for the rest of that. There’s a whole (expletive) ecosystem around that I don’t even care for,” said Francisco.

Francisco has been ordered to pay $906 a month in child support.

In Oct, 31, 2009, DSHS was able to grab some money from a bank account Francisco opened in California. But then he closed it, and became Alex Martin.

Meanwhile, Christine lost their home to foreclosure. She’s also on the hook for his student loans.

We have been reporting for years on the whereabouts of Nicholas Francisco Well now he’s found… and honestly I am not happy about the outcome.

This is pretty much an outrage… abandonment, leaving kids at home.. just bad overall…. the icing on the cake is that he works for an ad agency. Agency spy pointed me to his article here and to that I am thankful.

This is pretty much the worst possible outcome, husband abandons wife.. runs away to another state.. changes names… leaves wife with bills and offers no child support..

great husband.

“This is pretty much the worst possible outcome”

    Um, no.

The worst possible outcome would be that Nicholas is dead.

Sure, he needs to pay child support. I hope that one day he's able to mend his relationship with his children.

Christine is remarried and says that she's happy and that the kids have a new daddy that loves them.

All of that being said, keep in mind that there are at least two sides to every story. Show a little compassion for Nicholas. In the interview it's obvious that he's broken and hurting.

Kudos for sticking with the story.

And, damn, is this not a completely disappointing ending?

You need to stop being all judgy about Nicholas. Look at that crazy church his wife got him involved in.

He may have had a very good reason to run. I find it interesting that he told a pastor that he was going to quit the church 2 days before he left. And he is still being quiet. But I believe that may be what he is talking about when he said there is the whole ecosystem surrounding his wife and friends that he wanted no part of.

he doesn't deserve any pity. sorry.

  • Hard truths

Broken and hurting you must be kidding he is just unhappy because he got called on his BS. Didn't seem that hurt and broken when he was yawning over his children and saying they weren't his responsibility. He wasn't that hurt and broken when he was grabbing at the reporter. Only got all broken and hurt when he was ask the hard questions.

At least if he had killed himself he could have died as the nobody he wanted and his kids would have had social security benefits.

He is a scum bag for sure but it could have been worse. Usually these idiots are the ones who kill their wives and kids to change their lives. At least that did not happen. I hope she and the kids can move on somehow and keep this creep out of their lives except for the support he should pay and the bills he should pay for also!

Not that Im condoning what he did but to the people who says this is the worst thing a husband can do, Not true. There's a list of husbands out there who killed their wives, most of them got away with it and even collected money. Hell, I think Karen Carpenter was killed for money by her husband and brother.

Running away is not illegal and its the most logical thing a person should do if he cant bear all the drama. Run away or lose your mind.
