Columbia Sportswear Co. is ready to curtail or even end its long and lucrative relationship with Portland marketing agency Borders Perrin Norrander Inc., according to former principals with the advertising agency.
William Borders and Wes Perrin, founding members of the 31-year-old marketing firm, said Columbia had recently selected Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, based in Sausalito, Calif., to handle the bulk of its outside advertising work.
