Evidently AT&T doesn’t like Google Glass

Evidently AT&T doesn’t like Google Glass. According to Adaptive Glass, the news outlet regarding mobile devices AT&T is forcing users to buy a tethering plan, which is pricey for anyone that uses the upcoming Google Glass.

The tethering plan is charged by Mb used on top of a flat rate on top of your normal phone plan. All these additional charges add up to be highly expensive if you use Skype, Youtube, Hulu Plus. You’re talking in the neighborhood of 15 dollars every 250 Mb. You’ll be paying 15 dollars every few minutes watching Youtube.

This is terrible news for the adoption rate of Google Glass, unless Google uses some muscle and pushes AT&T to adopting a more reasonable stance regarding the rollout of a new product. At this high billable rate, no one is going to buy it.
