CIA ‘paying spooks’ with bitcoin

January 30, 2012

Evidently the CIA has been recently ‘paying spooks’ with bitcoin. We all know that Gavin had a presentation on bitcoin in June of 2011 at CIA headquarters.

I know Gavin, I met him in the New York City bitcoin conference. We spoke briefly however didn’t discuss this topic.

That part was fully disclosed.

However the recent stability of bitcoin pricing might not actually be all speculators and private investors.

The Central Intelligence Agency now has a valid way to pay individuals overseas without using the trackable banking system, nor having to physically hand over a form of currency.

A slow buildup in bitcoin pricing most likely will allow them to fund full fledged mini-wars overseas without being tracked in the long run.

This was speculated as happing back in 2011 during the run-up in price (if you read the thread on bitcoin talk people actually mentioned that early in thread).

However what drove this article wasn’t just that forum post, it was some rumbling on that and other forums that stated “want to know if we are going to war with Iran, watch the blockchain”

What the hell did that mean?

It doesn’t take much to add 2 and 2 together. Now I really want to know “who” Satoshi is.

For the record Satoshi most likely is a codename for the individual(s) that created bitcoin, they never announced who they were and to this day remains anonymous. If it was the CIA that developed it, then the reason for bitcoin’s existence or at least initial development becomes more clear.
