Rear Adm. David L. Philman : China is the Enemy

Rear Adm. David L. Philman - “But they will catch up. They understand. They’re a smart and learning enemy, and if we don’t keep our edge, then we will be behind, or at least lose our advantage,”

Evidently the United States is now Enemies with China.

The statement was not taken out of context. The Washington Times reported.

The Chinese Military buildup is scaring the Pentagon as the growth of advanced technology coming from China is nothing less than staggering. Recently China has announced the development of a Stealth Fighter, anti-Aircraft Carrier missiles, along with a long list of other exotic weapons that the Red Army can bring to the battlefield.

China, though a massive trading partner with the United States does have areas where both countries could clash over various issues. The flashpoint that consistently comes up is Taiwan, however it does not end there. There are disputes with several nations regarding territory, such as with Japan over several islands.

Other areas of dispute would be support of North Korea.

The end results is that Adm Philman considers China the Enemy… is it a valid point?
