SEO’s take out Ad Agencies in Viral Campaign

June 23, 2006

It appears that a few SEO’s have made their own viral campaign that outshines even the best of the Ad Agencies.. for the price of a domain name (8 dollars a year) a simple hosting account (5 dollars a month) and about 20 min of work.

And people say that SEO’s can’t make cool Marketing Campaigns :)

Seriously, what IS linkiewinkie.com about? Are we all supposed to link to it in the hopes of ranking for the term ‘linkie winkie’ when someone searches? But how on earth is the normal end user going to find out about the thing? No use having other SEO companies finding your site first in the serps???

Suck it and see, I guess. It appears to just be a proof-of-concept gig for some SEO guys with an axe to grind. Who am I to argue? So, if LinkieWinkie has shunted you here, feel free to poke around. Velcro City is all about science fact, science fiction, technology, futurism, and general leftfield weird stuff. I hope you’ll drop by again sometime soon. Fellow bloggers - check your feed stats, there’s something strange going on. I might drop BoingBoing a line… [...]
