ad agency Brown Fusion goes virtual

November 30, 2009

After five years as vice president of business development at Giant Ideas, Pittsburgh’s fifth-largest advertising agency, Dennis Brown left in June to start virtual agency Brown Fusion. The Pittsburgh Business Journal is reporting.

Things have changed so much due to this recession. Gold door handles at the 30,000 Square Foot office are being replaced with laptops on your living room recliner. Allowing companies to cut costs and yet continue to grow.

Honestly what digital ad agency needs a huge office space. I could understand perhaps HR being in a small office somewhere.. and perhaps a conference center.. but what else is needed? A Digital ad agency with a dozen people might need a tiny 500 sq/ft office with half of it being for HR (interviews and stuff) and the other half being a conference room. That’s really all that is needed. The majority of people working would be working from home.

I think it’s a good call, and clearly so does Dennis Brown.

That’s the right way to grow a company, not bankrupting ones self to project an image.. rather allocating assets to the actual work being done.

Enjoy the new economy.
