We didn’t expect the Media Attention that we faced on our first day opening. Thank you to Threadwatch , SearchGuild and the Association of Search Engine Professionals SEO Forum and the other media outlets that reported on our opening.
It’s intresting to say the least. Â
However we now are open for business and we have announced our first client.
It’s a huge organization that is responsible for securing a country from other nations. The main mission of the over 1 billion USD account is to get new recruits (17-18 year olds look for jobs) but we are not going to use any SEO tactics at all. In Fact we are not even going to try to rank for ‘help wanted’ or ‘find a job’ or anything like that all. Instead we are going to run TV ads on all the TV channels that our target market does not watch.
We feel that this will work because prior to the Internet existing it worked. Right?
We feel so strongly about ignoring the SEO aspect that we are going to run redirects all thoughout the site and make any part that says ‘recruiting’ or ‘find a job’ navigation in Flash.
We are doing this to prove multple points. The first being that the organization that pays 800 USD for toilet seats and 600 dollars for secrewdrivers could still be had. Secondly that SEO is not worthy of our attention.
Enjoy our waste of resources, it’s only your tax dollars at work.
