Where’s our Starcraft Movie?

What ever happened to the Starcraft movie that was supposedly in the works? Back in 2007 there was a report that surfaced regarding a Starcraft movie in the works
We had to endure box office bombs like Doom… but we got no Starcraft… a video game that actually had a plot.
Starcraft (the first series) and the expansion had a very robust plot.. 3 races. Human, Zerg and Protoss .. and vying for domination of the region.
Each of these races had very widely differing tools and their disposal and vastly differing methods of achieving the same goals. There was an underlying issue with Sarah Kerrigan that had the potential to be a movie by itself.
Lets not forget Samir Duran? How about Artanis? Alexei Stukov? Tassadar?
In all there were about 50 major characters in Starcraft… if you can’t make a movie with a pick of about 3 races trying to control a galaxy with 50 major characters then you are not worth your salt in hollywood.
Enjoy our waiting for the movie, we’ll get it when Duke Nukem Forever comes out.
