Firefox prevented me from viewing Microsoft’s Job board
In a stunning move that even shocked us, Microsoft Launches a new Job Search Program to find talent, yet it does not display in Firefox.
Notice right off the bat if you try to search for jobs you are hit with a “Firefox prevented this site from opening 2 popup windows.”
This made us laugh, because Windows does anything but popup. Good Job whatever Advertising Agency pulled this off for Microsoft. Next time test your stuff in something other than IE.
Could we have turned off the block? yea… was it worth it? no…
Any company that designs sites in flash with popups that blast music right off the bat rather than asking you if you want it, considering that most people looking at the Microsoft Job board are doing it during work hours at their current company is too stupid for me to work for.
The site, called hey-genius.com is comical to say the least. The Microsoft owned site is infested with flash, it’s not exactly what technology professionals like or enjoy.
Microsoft paid big money for this site to attract talent, instead it attracts laughs.

One critical point left out of your review: the site’s geared to college recruiting, not trade professionals sitting at their desks at work. I agree with the music and popups-in-Flash criticisms from a usability standpoint, but as far as a promotional site goes, it’s not so bad. And I’m an Apple user.
