Ad Agency sues Client for lack of payment

July 7, 2009

Syracuse’s largest advertising agency is suing Destiny USA for $733,093, money it says it is owed for marketing the expansion of the Carousel Center mall as a novel consumer research and development center. Syracuse.com is reporting

This is becoming more and more of a problem as this recession / depression drags on. Back in 2008 we ran a survey regarding what Advertising Agencies view as a threat to their business, #1 threat for 2008 was late or non-payments.

That was a year ago, this progressively got worse since that point and we are considering running another survey to see exactly what ad agencies are viewing as a threat today (circa 2009).

non-payment is becoming a big issue… and the issue has already sent one mid-sized ad agency into the dark.
