Chernoff Newman merges with Advertising Service Agency

Weird Read, two Agencies merged

Advertising agency Chernoff Newman and Advertising Service Agency of South Carolina have agreed to merge.

The two firms will unite under the name of Columbia-based Chernoff Newman and operate offices in Orlando and the South Carolina cities of Columbia, Charleston and Pawley Island.

The merger will bring in 17 new employees to the firm bringing the total to 70 employees. There will be no layoffs, says Bruce Jacobs, senior vice president and general manager of the Orlando office.

No Layoffs in a merger… generally speaking there are always layoffs… you don’t need two HR directors for example. That being stated however.. if the 2 firms are relativity intact that is a very good thing.
