CareerBuilder fires Wieden+Kennedy

Job website CareerBuilder has fired its advertising agency of record, Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, Ore., and will not conduct a review, instead opting to its advertising in-house.
CareerBuilder officially has nothing bad to say about W+K, but unofficially we were told “it always comes down to money… and frankly we can do this inhouse at a much lower cost”
CareerBuilder has been seeing somewhat of a hit recently with the economic downturn… as a flood of resumes have hit their site.. but lower business listings for jobs available… generally they make money off the companies listing.. not the individuals. This is typical of any recession when it comes to job boards.
