Expedia launches agency review - Hires Ark Advisors to find ad agency

We are dying to see the chances where the online only website will adopt a separate SEO firm to increase it’s ROI … or will it just sign on another expensive Holding Company without SEO skillset and in turn have that Ad Agency contact us (or someone like us) anyway to do the SEO at of course a 6x premium? We doubt that Ark Advisors even has us in their database of holding companies… but it’s just ROI … who cares about that?

BELLEVUE, Wash., April 2 — Expedia.com(R), the world’s leading travel company, today announced that it has launched a search for a new agency to manage its U.S. advertising and communications. Ark Advisors has been engaged to manage the review process.

Expedia.com is currently working with two marketing communications agencies in the U.S.: Doner, a Southfield, Mich.-based advertising agency; and TargetCast TCM, a New York City-based media agency. The media portion of the business is not in review.

The search is expected be completed in the second quarter of 2009.
