Before Gawker Media gets carried away with dominating the world, maybe it should try to master the book industry? As of yesterday, The Gawker Guide to Conquering All Media had sold a scant 242 copies since it went on sale Oct. 2, according to Nielsen BookScan.

242 copies.

That translates to one store in Idaho that could of purchased the majority of them or the CEO of Gawker to pass out to his friends.

Embarrassing to extreme levels.

Gawker had plenty of hype, tons of free promotion on the main page of Gawker.. some estimates noted that it was well within over a million dollars worth of promotion, for 242 copies.
