Stiegler, Wells, Brunswick & Roth (swb&r) redesign is being reviewed for general compliance with generally accepted SEO practices.

The all-flash site with little to no text based content violates Google Guidelines.

Use a text browser such as Lynx to examine your site, because most search engine spiders see your site much as Lynx would. If fancy features such as JavaScript, cookies, session IDs, frames, DHTML, or Flash keep you from seeing all of your site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site.

Directly from Google’s Guildlines

The site is lacking even a basic Meta Description tag, a tag that is not shown to a visitor, but only to a search engine.

Since this tag is not even visible to a human during regular web surfing, it leaves the agency with no valid argument regarding the standard ‘look and feel’ over SEO argument.

The site is lacking a 301 redirect from the non-www to the www version. This is a common practice and suggested on multiple occasions by Google Engineer, Matt Cutts .

We ourselves had some trouble viewing the site in Firefox running Ubuntu Linux, as the flash almost was ’streaming’ and never fully completed a download. This caused a problem with the way the site rendered for us.

We also had problems finding a sitemaps.org standard sitemap. This again is suggested by Google, Yahoo and MSN.
