Interpublic firing 2,000 to 3,000 people

Interpublic Group inc is reportedly firing up to 2,000 - 3,000 staffers, just one day after Omnicom group inc announced it was firing 3500 people.

This “great recession” is far worse than 2001-2002 …. far worse…. and it’s not even done yet… in fact by all estimates it’s just starting. Expect it to get worse… in fact we expect layoffs to outnumber hirings for all of 2009 and perhaps most.. if not all of 2010…
