The Great Depression vs the Great Recession

One of these photos was taken by CNN earlier today The other one was taken in 1934 during the great depression. The question that begs to be asked when comparing these two photos is that are we already heading into a another great depression? These are not normal times and clearly something is very similar to what this nation has seen several generations ago.
- 1934 - Men looking for a job, the sign says "Wanted a decent job with decent pay, age 37 - family man, war veteran, college trained, native to Chicago, purchases, accounting, traffic,..."
- 2008 - Man looking for a job, "Almost homeless," reads the sign. "Looking for employment. Very experienced operations and administration manager."
