Adage is saying despite AT&T firing 12,000 people their Advertising budget is untouched.. yea right… As long as this recession continues, everything will continue to be slashed… and slashed in a big way. Anyone being told otherwise is having the wool pulled over their eyes.

Advertising agency, Omnicom Group’s BBDO, New York honestly is in for a rude awakening if they really feel that AT&T’s ad budget isn’t going to get chopped down to size…. layoff sized.

“Sales and marketing budgets will be smarter, but remain intact more or less,” said telecom analyst Jeff Kagan. “Maybe they will reduce what they [spend], but the nuts and bolts will remain.” Full Story
