Omnicom Group Inc get’s close but no cigar

NEW YORK, July 5 (Reuters) - Omnicom Group Inc, the world’s largest advertising services company, on Wednesday said it acquired a majority stake in EVB, an advertising agency specializing in interactive marketing.

But the EVB site is showing up as a blank page in Google’s Text Cache

GENERALLY speaking this means that little or no thought went into SEO at least for their flagship site (their own site).

So Congrats Omnicom for realizing the Internet is growing faster than print and tv media is declining, but we would suggest focusing on a Search Engine Optimization firm next :)

    Just because they didn’t purchase YOUR s.e.o. shop is no reason for a vine full of sour grapes. Maybe growing your own business and not focusing on a big payday buyout would be a prudent course of action.

    They still missed the mark, they do not own an SEO firm…

    If you weren’t so completely and utterly invested in your itty-bitty little niche, you’d be able to admit (if only to yourself) when you’re off-base.

    “Being on the 400th page of a page rank isn’t a marketing plan”? Well no shit, sherlock. Being at the top isn’t a marketing plan, either, and that’s the best and only thing SEO can offer to potential clients. You simply don’t have the tools- education, knowledge, insight and skill- necessary to help companies in any sort of integrated, effective way, from local grass-roots efforts to global brand building.

    SEO shops buying ad agencies? Sorry. It will certainly be the other way around and, if your comments on this site are the brightest examples of your thinking-through of marketing problems, I don’t expect to see yours among the purchased.

    Google is saying they are a weak site.

    My friend, you can bitch and moan all you want regarding SEO is a fraud.. and ‘I want my company bought’

    You are funny.. you make it sound like we are not profitable.. and up 6000% from last year in revenue. Mostly because of the re-allocation from ad agency spending to SEO firms.
