http://store.nike.com - Nike deserves a refund from R/GA
October 15, 2008
We included the press release below, as well as a screen shot how some of us are viewing this newly designed site. The all flash site is not even cached in Google… this is pretty horrific.. you are greeted with a redirect right off the bat… and that redirect somehow thinks I am located in the UK (When we are outside of Philadelphia) hence we can’t buy anything correctly.. even if we found the site… (which we can’t since it’s not even indexed in Google).
The site has no metas at all.. literally blank..
Where’s the keyword or description tags? There is no excuse for this… it’s not even human visible.. and based no zero text based content on the site, Google most likely will use the description tag as it’s description of the Nike store. Who knows what Google will pull from.. hopefully not it’s DMOZ listing… that it doesn’t have.
Advertising Agency R/GA should be issuing a refund for this.. we would be demanding it if we were Nike.
