Matt Cutts: Google responds to E.U.

Two or three weeks ago, the European Union Article 29 Working Party sent Google a letter asking about some of Google’s privacy practices. Google responded to the letter in a blog post today and made its entire response letter available
The catcher on this story is that Google might reduce it’s current multi-decade cookie expire time to something more reasonable. As it stands now, if you logged into Google somewhere in 2000 on your Windows 95 box.. and you never upgraded or cleaned your cache (you know… Grandmas machine) .. the cookie is still active
