George Parker slams JWT regarding Ford’s Account

We were crying when we stumbled upon George Parker’s Blog. He ripped on JWT’s account to the point of tears..
The problem is that they are running these ads touting how expensive it is to fire up one of these beasts…. not exactly the best ads to run when you are running a $100 fill up… If I were Ford I would have to reconsider my marketing efforts.. and re-allocate as needed… in this case running more ads saying their cars just cost extreme amounts of money in terms of gas isn’t exactly a great pitch.
You would think that JWT as their Ad Agency of Record would point this out… Ford’s market has changed in face of $4 dollar a gallon gas, $2,000 dollar heating oil bills and $12 bucks to fill up your lawn mower

With the news that sales of the humongous, ugly, F-150 pickup, which has long been the highest-selling vehicle in Ford’s lineup, saw a 40.5% decline last month, what do they do? Run more f**king ads… And what do the ads say? They go on and f**king on about what a beast it is, how it has an engine the size of a 747 and has a bed that you can fit a four bedroom house in.
