Wikipedia links to Mozilla with nofollow tags
This is perhaps the worst of the worst.
Wikipedia is linking to Mozilla, in an article about Mozilla with nofollow tags. No follow tags literally tell the search engines not to pass any link popularity to the targeted site. Generally they are designed to avoid comment spam.. but since when did Mozilla become a viagra spammer to deserve no follows?
Furthermore, the page www.mozilla.org/book has annotations
The hyperlink of course has a nofollow tag.
.. in turn our link to the wikipedia page will use nofollow just out of principle.
Cut the crap Wikipedia, stop hording Pagerank and pass it to Mozilla… It’s shameful to say the least.
Edit : we already knew all external links are nofollow — so the actual discussion is why Wikipedia is allowed to rank for all these terms by stealing all these copyrighted names….. yet pass nothing along to the actual people that they topics are about? The reason Mozilla is held up as an example… is because this is literally the definition of BS in our opinion…

Pardon, but aren’t *all* outbound links on Wikipedia marked nofollow?
yea they all are… it’s actually why I brought this up… it’s more to open a discussion regarding if Wikipedia actually deserves to rank for the terms they are…
You can’t copyright a name. Trademark maybe but not copyright.
