George Parker : Major Layoffs at Ogilvy

Parker got the goods, Major Layoffs at Ogilvy… we heard that rumor as well… but our sources are always not the rock solid ones that Parker got :) …

One of my “deep throats” in New York tells me there have been big layoffs this morning at Ogilvy.

A new round just hit on January 7th, and then in the ultimate dose of irony, a week after laying off 10% of its workforce, Ogilvy launched a website to help marketers (read: clients) manage through the recession. In truth, such a website is actually a pretty good idea, but so far it’s an epic fail…
