Breaking : New Video of Neil Armstrong’s moon walk

September 30, 2010

We have seen blurbs of the new Video of Neil Armstrong’s moon walk. The video was shot at a much higher angle than what we have seen previously. It appears it’s from a camera that was mounted near the top of the lander pointed downwards.

The Video was NEVER broadcast because the video feed never reached earth evidently and was just recorded from the tape. The Video shows literally the first minutes of Armstrong as NASA was still scrambling for a signal, showing a far clearer image than was initially screened worldwide

Meaning this is raw footage.

The issue is that evidently the tape cuts out at points and will need to be digitally remastered to clear it up.

Below is a screen shot of the video.

Is the Recession Over … well for Gold and Silver it’s not.

September 29, 2010

This is fresh off the new record prices of Gold and Silver, people are scared to death of the Federal Reserves new “quantitative easing” IE: printing money policy.

The image that keeps showing up in the minds of individuals is this photograph.

See that women there? This photo was taken in Germany during the run up to World War II. She’s burning money because it’s “cheaper” to burn the money than use it to buy firewood. That is almost always the end game in any printing money policy IE: quantitative easing.

So what’s the solution? Why is the Federal Reserve printing off so much money?

The problem stems with first and foremost the 2008 economic collapse of the US economy. The Federal Reserve went haywire in terms of trying to combat it with a massive push to get dollars into banks hands. It dropped the interest rate to zero and started giving money directly to the banks.

Then it went off doing some radical things, like buying mortgage backed securities that well… are junk as people were not paying them.

The end result is that somewhere in future (most likely the new future) inflation will be the end result of printing money. It’s a simple economic fact that cannot be argued against.

If you have a ounce of silver that is worth $25 dollars today out of a total of $100 dollars in circulation.

The Federal Reserve puts another $100 dollars in circulation (meaning there is now $200 dollars in circulation) the ounce of silver is now worth $50 dollars, as the value of silver is stable against whatever the currency rate is.

If the Federal Reserve a month later prints an additional $800 dollars on top of the $200 in printed last month. That brings the total circulation to $1000, the price of silver will jump to $250.

I think you get the point. The price of silver in this simple economic model will just keep at the 25% of whatever the circulation is.

Hence the problem.

See the Federal Reserve most likely wants to inflate our debt away. Literally inflate it away… in an extreme example if we revisit the economic outline above..

Let’s say instead of our price of silver we are substituting that figure for our total debt. The KEY difference is that debt isn’t stable against increasing inflation.

Meaning the following:

There is $100 in circulation and we owe $25 - 25% of our money is owed to someone.
The Federal Reserve now pushes out a total of $200 - 12.5% of our money is owed to someone.
The Federal Reserve now pushes out a total of $1000 - 2.5% of our money is owed to someone.

“Magically” our Debt to Money in circulation went from 25% debt to “only” 2.5% debt! We have very little debt ratio now. The only issue at hand now is the fact that bread now costs $20 dollars a loaf and your electric bill is $2000 a month.

Now to tie it in.

Before the Federal Reserve run on the printing press, you were able to pay your electric bill and loaf of bread with a single coin of silver in terms of value.

After the prices skyrocketed, you can still pay your electric bill and loaf of bread with a single coin of silver.

Get the point?

Netflix Boycott over CEO Reed Hastings growing

September 23, 2010

Due to the following statement by Reed Hastings, the CEO of Netflix a Number of Americans are now demanding the same discount that he is offering the Canadians. And many have stated that they will simplistically pay the amount the Canadians pay and have Netflix worry about the accounting nightmare.

THR: Are you concerned that American Netflix subscribers will look north and ask for the same discount Canadians get at $7.99?

Hastings: How much has it been your experience that Americans follow what happens in the world? It’s something we’ll monitor, but Americans are somewhat self-absorbed.

source: hollywood reporter

Really Reed Hastings, you view us as self absorbed idiots that don’t read news or know anything that happens outside our borders? Of course we don’t. We Americans are complete idiots. We don’t know that we have thousands of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, South Korea, etc. We never noticed that all our products are Made in China. We have no idea why some people are wanting to erect a fence between here and Mexico. In fact where is Mexico?

Seriously Reed, perhaps the only one self absorbed is yourself. For some distinct reason you feel that you use the toilet differently than we do.

So I will end my self absorbed rant…. while I am at it… I want the Canadian discount. Or else the boycott will continue….

The boycott plan is simple, it’s not really to 100% boycott the company…. just we plan on paying what the Canadians pay.. let your accounting department figure out the mess.

Adweek : A mom shops differently than a women with no kids (really?)

September 21, 2010

“a research paper shows affluent mothers of young children differing significantly in their consumer behaviour from affluent women who don’t have young kids in the household.” Adweek pronounces on a main headline on their site.

No fooling? You mean a women that has kids as home shops differently ? The ground breaking report states that one women making 100,000 a year without kids “looks richer” than another women that makes 100,000 a year with kids.

Of course because kids are free right? Like children’s clothes, saving for college, the mini-van rather than the BMW are all due to the fact that both of them start off with the same disposable income (yea right).

In reality the women making 100k a year with kids is most likely equal to a women making 70k a year childless.

It’s not that it costs 30k a year to raise a child, but in realistic terms a parent generally puts aside a percentage of their wealth for their child… and that might be about 30% .. .regardless of income (other than extremes).

Welcome to extreme Adweek Reporting…. LOL

Digg is dead

September 16, 2010

Is the social media site, Digg.com dead? Seriously Kevin, you should be embarrassed. You took all of what Digg was, and turned it into FFA for large sites that get auto submitted.. This isn’t what made digg a valid site, what made digg valid was the concept of user submitted content.

As it stands now no user submitted content is promoted, you turned Digg into Google news.

I know I am talking to deaf ears, as this post is user generated and most likely will not get promoted on digg, but seriously you took a great site and shit on it.

It’s terrible what happened, it’s like watching the downfall of a great startup. You should have never veered from the original mission.

Well the history books will write how Digg V4 killed the company.

Enjoy the screenshot.

What’s the point

September 10, 2010

Seriously what’s the point. Why type of protest is this? Burning a Koran isn’t going to help anything, or help anyone.

The US Military said it’s a bad idea, and WILL put US troops in harms way. Everyone in Washington from the President to the Secretary of State said this is a bad idea, and WILL put troops in harms way. But of course these idiots are going ahead with their burnings. What do they care, it’s not like they give a hoot about the United States and her Armed forces. They really don’t mind if a few Americans get killed due to their actions.

But of course Westboro Baptist Church, Bob Old, Duncan Philp and the grandfather of hate Rev. Terry Jones are planning their Koran / Quran burning.

For the record, no one with 1/2 a brain supports these types of protests. Just because the first amendment offers freedom of speech doesn’t mean it should be used. An idiot talking is covered by the first Amendment, but yet he’s still an idiot talking.

So there you have it, the chances are high that some idiot will burn a Koran tomorrow, and the chances are high that some troops will be put in harms way due to these idiotic actions.

Good job people, way to put our troops in harms way. Idiots.

The only positive to Digg’s new redesign

September 1, 2010

Evidently there is one positive outcome for the new Digg redesign. They didn’t import over the Microsoft imposed site ban list.

Literally to the joy of Linux users, the site sqlspace.com (The one Digg banned back in 2007 for hosting a screen shot of Ubuntu being featured on Windows Marketplace.) is now allowed to be submitted.

It was a censorship case that Digg was standing on the wrong side of, but of course they had to do as their Microsoft sponsor required. That meant for a period of roughly 5 months there were no negative stories about Microsoft, and all stories that were submitted were either buried or literally banned. Such as Sqlspace.com for hosting the below screenshot.

Enjoy the new reality.
