How Washington will “fix” the unemployment rate
June 30, 2010
Evidently Washington has a great way to fix the unemployment rate. It’s called fudging the numbers. The Senate rejected the unemployment extension $110 billion jobs bill would have extended benefits through the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, which has allowed workers to collect for as much as 99 weeks.
The rejection of the bill places all those unemployed off the books, in essence counting them as employed, or as some people put it “not in the labor force”.
This means that large numbers of people will be forced off the unemployment benefits package and in essence will be thrown on the street. In that process what will happen is the unemployment rate will most likely drop by a full percentage point, but not because jobs were found, but rather because the BLS will stop counting the unemployed as unemployed.
It’s a hack job, and it’s another reason the U-6 must be the official unemployment rate. Fudging the numbers is not a way to fix the unemployment rate.
This is a terrible solution, horrific to say the least. Mark my words, the U-6 has the potential to reach a 20% unemployment rate within the next 7 months if unchecked by a real job creation.
/ end rant.

Women blames Failed Marriage on Modern Warfare

Women blames failed Marriage on Modern Warfare, threatens to destroy X-Box 360, etc etc.
This is great stuff on the “I hate Men” social media site. Women states the following:
Call of Duty has ruined my love life and i don’t know if i can fix it. I admire the girls on youtube who record themselves smashing their boyfriends or husbands console into bits and recording the looks on their faces
Talk about madness, the questionable brainpower of the female in question failed to realize that perhaps the reason the X Box is taking so much of his time is because honestly “he’s just not that into you” . In other words the problems of their relationship are far deeper than the amount of time he plays video games.
Granted some people take it to extremes, but generally speaking if a relationship is healthy, the individuals in question want to spend more time with the other party, not play video games all day long.
This is a constant battle between the sexes, but in this case I have to say that I believe the author of that post is of unstable mental capacity.
Enjoy.

Hulu launches 10 dollars a month subscription service
June 29, 2010
Hulu has finally done it, they launched a 10 dollar subscription service to allow people to watch TV and movies for $9.99 a month.
Evidently the media companies that own it have been putting Hulu under some extreme pressure to generate a profit.
A new tab opened up on the site directing users to Hulu Plus, a section that shows current season episodes of “Glee,” “The Office,” “House,” and other shows from broadcasters ABC, Fox and NBC. The service also allows viewing of multiple back seasons of shows. Meaning that for 10 dollars you get to see all the older episodes as well.
Inital reports are stating that Hulu will then be made to be seen on Mobile Devices as well, as currently all mobile devices are banned from Hulu (iPhones, Androids, Blackberry are all banned). However ripe skeptism still is surrounding the mobile issue.
A free, ad-supported version of Hulu remains available, but with only recent episodes of shows.

Ad Agency Digitas offers help : Outcome is husband of VP of Marketing deported
June 21, 2010
Ms. Jamieson campaigned for his release with help from her colleagues at Digitas, a new-media advertising company where she is vice president of marketing. When the latest legal motion to reopen his case was denied last week, she turned to the news media. Full Story at the New York Times
Perhaps Digitas is better on the sidelines rather than offering their assistance.
Seriously when these advertising agencies become involved, it doesn’t help… at least in this case. Out of spite the chances are someone in the White House forwarded it to a crime unit rather than to review the case.
Story is of course developing….

BP CEO Attends Yacht Race
June 21, 2010
BP is taking heat for the CEO taking a nice vacation to see a Yacht Race, with his own Yacht.
The whole upper management of BP is a walking disaster. A few weeks ago this was the quote:
BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg told reporters in Washington: “I hear comments sometimes that large oil companies are greedy companies or don’t care, but that is not the case with BP. We care about the small people.”
I love now us little people are faced with this disaster he made, but he doesn’t care he’s at his Yacht Race.
Hayward took Saturday off to see his 52-foot yacht “Bob” compete in a race around the Isle of Wight off southern England. It was a good day for sailing — breezy and about 68 degrees — but anger simmered on the steamy Gulf Coast, where crude oil is still gushing from a blown-out well.
“Man, that ain’t right. None of us can even go out fishing, and he’s at the yacht races,” said Bobby Pitre, 33, who runs a tattoo shop in Larose, La. “I wish we could get a day off from the oil, too.”
These are the most uncaring monsters the world has ever seen. BP’s assets need to be seized and used to clean up the mess they created.

United In Diversity - United Future World Currency
Matt Drudge has this running currently as the headline. So of course we researched it to see exactly what the story is with this new found coin dated circa 2009.
From our research we discovered that it wasn’t an official coin, but rather a “test run” from a lobby group that was hoping to make a single currency for the entire planet.
In other words, this is Matt Drudge just scaring people into believing that Washington is running like a wildman to make a new world order.
In other words people, this is a non-issue as the group has been there literally for years and this is just another PR attempt at getting attention to their cause, which Republicans are all to happy to point to due to the fact Obama is in office.
I am sure the religious nutjobs at Anti-Christ.com are going to enjoy this…

Agencyspy tweets “McCann NY fires 20″ Happy Friday

” Hate to be debbie downer on a friday, but mccann ny cuts close to 20 all thanks to one account loss http://bit.ly/aDrPPk ”
That’s hot… Fridays are terrible.. whatever happened to the “recession is over” . People are still getting canned right and left. This isn’t the end of the recession, it appears to be the start of a double dip recession.
The unemployment rate was artificially low for the past few months due to the 1.2 million workers the census hired for the short term employment.
Now all those workers are filing at the same time for unemployment again, putting another massive drain on the system. This isn’t the start of a recovery, this is the end of a recovery.
Enjoy the new reality.

Resumes to Google News
June 18, 2010
I have been thinking about this for a while. Would you guys / girls be interested in a resume to google news service? Literally a way to post your resume and it will appear in Google News?
I wasn’t going to charge anything for it, it was more of a public service. My assumption is that if your resume appears in Google News (like how the New York Times publishes “people and movers”) it would be highly helpful for your job search.
Of course they will be screened as to comply with standards, but this will allow you to get maximum light for your resume.
What is your opinion on the matter? Would you post your resume knowing it will go directly to Twitter, Google News, Facebook, mailed to a few thousand subscribers that work Advertising , etc.
Tribble advertising agency is literally a machine, so it’s fairly automated to get out into all those areas. The idea is that it would hit up as many targeted people as possible. Makes CareerBuilder or Monster look backwater if we move forward.
But I do need feedback from you to see if it’s worthwhile to build the modifications for the site to make that happen.

Lehigh Valley Health Network – Bike Helmets Save Lives
June 17, 2010
This post is more of a personal nature. Pam works at Lehigh Valley Health Network. She’s a personal friend of mine. A few weeks ago I was stunned to find out she literally got run over by a truck while exercising on her bike. To put it lightly she almost died in the accident.
She however is turning a negative incident to raise awareness regarding the use of bicycle helmets that she does rightfully credit to saving her life.
Please forward this post around, please help raise awareness of how important bicycle helmets are. One day a video like this might save a loved ones life. I showed my 5 year old this video. The first words that exited his mouth after watching the video “Daddy, I am NEVER going on a bike without a helmet”.
Thank you Pam for such a powerful video.
