Home Video of Challenger Space Shuttle Explosion
January 31, 2010
This video has never been released before, so the chances are very high that you have never seen this exact video before (I didn’t).
They got Trouble George.
The 24 year old video shows the space shuttle exploding, and causing some confusion on “if that was supposed to do that” though within seconds the individuals filming this video back in the 1980′s suspected something was wrong. As one of the first words coming out of his mouth is “They got trouble George”
Amazing stuff, completely amazing.
One thinks that we saw every video possible on this since it happened decades ago, but clearly a VHS tape in the basement changes all that.

Ogilvy caught up in South African payment dispute
January 31, 2010
“Because of the unprofessional manner in which the Ogilvy summons was delivered to us, it made it impossible for us to know about the court date.
“The judgement against us by Ogilvy as it stands now is receiving the attention of our lawyers,” he added. The article then goes from bad to worse
The 56,000,000 South African Rand = $7.4 million U.S. dollars
So what was this $7.4 million dollar invoice for?
The ad agency created some signs for cars and motorcycles in ANC colours, held a few colourful rallies with champagne, gourmet food and live entertainment, a few ads on TV. Ogilvy also made a website and setup a facebook account to garner support.
All for the low price of $7.4 million dollars.
Because of course that Facebook account took the lions share of it. And the printer for signs invoiced them millions of dollars for stick on signs.
This is bad…

Happy Bank Fail Friday
January 29, 2010
As you guys know, the running joke is “happy bank fail friday” because historically over the Great Recession the FDIC has seized banks always (like clockwork) on a Friday at 5 pm on whatever the local time zone is.
As it stands now the below have been seized, but it’s not 5pm on all US timezones yet, meaning this list is expected to grow.
Marshall Bank, N.A. Hallock MN 16133 January 29, 2010 January 29, 2010
Florida Community Bank Immokalee FL 5672 January 29, 2010 January 29, 2010
First National Bank of Georgia Carrollton GA 16480 January 29, 2010
So taking bets now, will it stop at 3 taken so far, or do you guys think it will be 5 or 8 … go ahead.. put your votes in the comments below.

The first REAL leaked Apple iPad ad !!
January 29, 2010
ok people, this is the first real Apple iPad leaked tv commercial
I’ll admit I liked the other ones better here. But this appears to be the first official iPad ad. Enjoy, or enjoy the other ones… have fun ripping it apart or loving it like a fanboy.
Really doesn’t matter, in my opinion this thing isn’t going where the hype said it would.

BREAKING - FIRST iPad TV Commercial Leaked
January 28, 2010
This is the official first ad from Apple regarding the iPad.
Though I have to admit I like the other ones better below.
CRYING! The video it’s freaking hilarious, and rightfully so. This iPad is a piece of junk. Who’s gonna buy that when it can’t do what a netbook can, but it’s too big to be an iPhone. I am sorry apple, this thing is a turd.. good luck selling it. It’s only marginally better than a iTouch.
In Apple’s eyes you need to carry an iPhone in one hand, an iPad in the other, have your Macbook strapped to your back while running to your Apple Desktop.
What everyone wants is a super powerful phone that can double as a desktop when plugged into an external keyboard and monitor… don’t worry about the Mouse.. we will use the phone screen for that… oh yea.. this won’t work on AT&T only.
and for the non-steve jobs one..

Apple Ipad trademarked last week by someone other than Apple
January 28, 2010
Why did the trademark office allow the iPad to be trademarked by another company last week? We broke the story — you have to read that before this story makes sense regarding the bombshell.

Now this is where it becomes a problem.
The one that received all the press was the one that most likely wouldn’t win in court, the one from Fujitsu is regarding a “HAND-HELD COMPUTING DEVICE FOR WIRELESS NETWORKING IN A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT” — you mean a wedding day registry price scanner?

Your problem is coming from IP Application Development not Fujitsu … that one is designed literally to sue Apple. Yes everyone, it appears that Apple is technically facing a trademark dispute.

closing an iframe icorrectly can ban you.
January 28, 2010
This is literally a test… nothing more than it… you can ignore this post. But a debate recently came up via the use of an iframe. We are going to close the iframe tag incorrectly on purpose to see if this post can came up or not.
Either this should not rank or it will rank, but this is just a test.
Let’s see what happens as we met the minimum compliance for terms, words , and content for it to rank. But alas we are unsure about the merits of our debate regarding the iframe.
If we are correct, this post shouldn’t show up for it’s own title tag, but will show up in Google News. Also if we’re correct we just saved a big media company a bunch of headaches.
Wish us luck with this Iframe test…
—-EDIT to add results
It didn’t ban us and it ranked as if the code was proper. sort of hoping this post wouldn’t rank.

Ad Agency Google Launches TV Advertising metrics
January 28, 2010
This might be the end of “Is Google an Ad Agency” … the answer of course is yes, the problem is convincing people that work in the industry that the largest ad agency is even an advertising agency in the first place. Reading the official Google TV advertising Blog there is a post titled “Learn how to make a TV commercial in 5 easy steps” … well there you have it people. These are self made ads for small businesses, but that’s not the point. It’s that combined with Google Analytics, Google Ad Planner, Google Adwords, Google voice (where you can measure ROI on the calls) and every other tidbit surrounding their services designed to make your industry redundant.
Google’s mission is to completely marginalise your business. They want your agency to be creatives, and that’s it. They feel that the media planners are obsolete, the metrics and measurement division are obsolete, they feel that WPP group should have about 50 employees total as most of the positions there can be done via their products for a much lower cost than what you charge them.
5 years ago Google offered adwords… now they offer every single thing you do other than creative… which is designed not for you to do.. but the marketing department of the client.
Don’t you see a pattern? It would be common in your industry not to see a pattern.. it lends to situations like this that eventually lead to this but what do I know. Google’s not an ad agency, and advertising is in no threat from a search engine.. .right?

Paulson: 25% unemployment rate if I didn’t bailout AIG
January 27, 2010
Of course Mr. Paulson, you saved the world with the massive bailouts. We applaud you on using taxpayer money to bailout AIG. “the unemployment rate would have risen easily to 25% without the bailout.” Paulson noted to lawmakers in Washington.
So let me understand this, you’re saying you stopped the great depression because we allowed Bonus loving AIG into our pocketbooks. As compared to the great recession rate of 17.3% and climbing right to 25%. In other words I would argue that you didn’t “stop unemployment from hitting 25%” in fact what you did was draw out the recession to the point where recovery will be a decade year out rather than 3 years out.
I say Mr. Paulson that your figure is bogus, as well as the figure that unemployment right now is 10%. The only thing that appears to to follow any standard from Washington is that we can’t trust it’s figures.
Who gave this guy the power over our pocket book anyway? Oh wait.. he can’t be voted in or out by the general public.

The new website is a result of increased online sales since the launch of their first ecommerce website in 2003. They retained the streamlined navigation of the previous website, but added some new elements such as a company blog to: communicate new product announcements, provide the opportunity for customers to submit questions and comments, and to respond to customer inquiries.
The website allows nursing homes and care givers a way to order their adaptive clothing directly online rather than going to a physical store or waiting for a catalog. The time saving website allows you to spend more time with your loved ones and less time waiting for physical catalogs.
