Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update
Samsung Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 smartphones: Samsung Electronics (Samsung Mobile India) has officially launched two new Android handsets.
Samsung Pay is now supported on the following devices - Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016). The Galaxy A comes with curved glass and metal body and offers water and dust resistance, enhanced camera features and fingerprint scanner. The rumors turned into a confirmation as Samsung began sending out the option to pre-register into the program to a select group of users. On either sides rest the volume controllers, power button, SIM and memory card slots.
On the optics front, both the phones are mounted with 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and also houses 16MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture for sharper selfies. The main differences, however lie in the presence of a larger 5.7 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and a bigger 3,600mAH battery. We tested the device indoor so we can not really comment on the outdoor performance as of now. Also, the phone has an Always-on Display which allows users to quickly check time, calendar and notifications without waking up the device which saves time and battery. If you do not find the Samsung Pay icon on your device ensure that the device software is updated to the latest Android software. The Galaxy A5 (2017) runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with the company’s own ToucWiz UI on top. With its newest devices A5 and A7 Samsung is targeting the millennial. In short, we will have to test both these devices thoroughly in order to come to a conclusion for the performance. It’s nice to see Samsung is serious about the mobile photography.
Several reports recently uncovered that Samsung filed an application to trademark the name “Infinity Display” and it is mostly likely for the upcoming Galaxy S8.
The leading Techies tested the Samsung Pay feature and said that is working fine. Customers will have to authenticate the transactions via fingerprint or a PIN, and then place the phone near the POS machine or card reader or NFC reader to complete the transaction. The secondary shooter is a 5MP sensor supporting 1080p video recording.
The LG G6 comes equipped with dual 13MP primary camera lenses with an f/1.8 aperture. We are very close to the launch of Galaxy S8.
