LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers win thrilling NBA Finals Game 7 against Warriors

After scoring 64 points the last two games, Kyrie Irving could muster just nine in the first half. They’re lead by back-to-back most valuable player victor Steph Curry.

“I don’t know why the man above gave me the hardest road but there’s nothing the man above going to put new situations that you can’t handle”.

“I was searching for a three”, Curry said, “and I rushed and didn’t take what was there, which was probably better to go around him and try to get into the paint”. He congratulated the Cavaliers and said the image of them celebrating would be something to remember so the Warriors could come back stronger.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Finals, defeating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Sunday’s deciding Game 7. With the score 89-89, Curry led a fast break and pushed the ball ahead to Andre Iguodala, who was in range of a score that would bring the house down. They did so against a team that had won a record number of games and hadn’t lost three consecutive at any point the past two seasons. With 10.6 seconds left, James made 1 of 2 free throws to seal the win. He joined the Miami Heat with fellow All-Stars Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, winning two titles there. Golden State took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter.

“I was calm. I was focused”.

With the final horn buzzing throughout a stunned Oracle Arena, head coach Tyronn Lue nearly ran off the court in glee.

“They are really bummed out”, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. He said afterward he hasn’t “put any thought into” whether he wants to come back.

Kyrie Irving scored 26 points for the Cavaliers, including a three-pointer with 52 seconds remaining when the scores were locked at 89-89.

But the Warriors did not score after Thompson tied the game with a driving layup with 4:39 to play. The man known as Delly said it tasted so sweet he wasn’t planning on having a shower. “Just proud of every single guy that stepped foot on the floor for our team this year”.

The winner-take-all showdown captured the attention of US President Barack Obama, who watched the end of the game on Air Force One after returning from a family trip, and commanded high-priced fans, courtside tickets with a face value of US$8,500 (RM34,684) being resold for as much as US$49,500.

By falling short of the title, the Warriors - 73-9 in the regular season - now will be part of a debate they hoped to avoid: the best teams that failed to win a championship. The NBA Finals Game 7, with a trophy at stake. After he carried the team to the Finals in his first season back in Cleveland, he led the Cavaliers to its first championship in franchise history a year later. His 32 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists weren’t enough to get the Warriors the one win they coveted. “It will haunt me for a while”.

When the final buzzer sounded in Oakland, it kicked off a wave of celebrations in Cleveland, where countless Cavaliers supporters were sporting James’s No. 23 jersey. He watched until the end and did not come down the stairs until moments after the Cavs won. He said that the victory parade in Cleveland on Wednesday was going to be one of the biggest parties. Bogut’s tough defence was missed by Golden State and he could miss the upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

“It felt good when the first shot fell”, Barnes said.

It has been a physically painful postseason for Curry nearly from the start, but what kicked in the wake of the Warriors’ crushing 93-89 defeat was the mental and emotional pain of his own on-court inadequacies. James helped the Cavaliers clinch their first championship by posting a triple-double. We’ll that’s real and that piece of jewelry is something that Bulls team has that the Warriors with their 73 wins do not.
