Trump backers sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to presumptive nominee
Last weekend, Trump underscored his racist tendencies by responding to a John Dickerson question on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he’d feel the same way about a Muslim judge and singling out a black rally attendee as “my African-American”.
Measured another way, Trump has amassed 13.4 million votes in primaries, well above Cruz’ 7.7 million. Trump said that Kerry’s injury was an embarrassment for the United States during diplomatic negotiations with Iran.
According to the Morning Consult survey, less than one-in-five voters thought Trump’s criticism of the judge was in any way fair. “So this election isn’t about the same old fights between Democrats and Republicans”. Donald Trump would take us in the wrong direction on so many issues we care about.
Romney said he would not vote for either Trump or Clinton, leaving open the possibility of casting a ballot for the Libertarian Party candidate, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson.
Clinton used the speech to deliver a forceful critique of Trump’s statement that he would be “great” for women if elected to the White House. In a four-way matchup that includes Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Clinton’s margin over Trump jumped slightly to 37 percent to 31 percent. New polls, including one from the reliably conservative Fox News, show Clinton leading.
Trump, meanwhile, has garnered support in coal country by promising to roll back regulations and restore coal industry jobs.

In an interview Thursday with The Associated Press, Mead said he regards Trump’s comments as clearly inappropriate. While selling paraphernalia is a staple feature at most campaign rallies, the Trump team had largely eschewed selling merchandise at rallies, allowing bootleggers to sell unofficial versions outside the venues. He boasted of the support he’s received from evangelical Christians, including Christian leaders such as Jerry Falwell Jr., who leads Liberty University. Ten minutes is a lot of time.
The danger for Trump: Many of his delegates - the numbers are unclear - actually prefer Cruz or perhaps other alternatives. Or veterans, a recent favorite.

He’s right and both parties share the blame for the dysfunction.
It remains to be seen, however, how deeply Trump has internalized the message.
