New Xbox and PlayStation consoles expected at E3 convention

Polygon reported that the Scorpio may be more powerful than the reported Sony equivalent, the PlayStation Neo, and the press conference at E3 2016 would be the flawless place for Microsoft to trumpet this, if it’s true.

According to a report from Polygon, Microsoft is actually planning two versions of the Xbox One, the first of which will be a slim model that will launch later this year and the second a “huge upgrade” that will launch in 2017. Could God of War 4 be Sony’s “One More Thing” at E3 2016?

This is a bit of a nebulous prediction, but I suspect that Sony will be reluctant to show off too much regarding the PSVR at this year’s E3.

Yeah, Sony released PS4 back in 2013. While it isn’t likely that we’ll see any a new Halo game, there’s plenty of talk about the pending reveal of the rumoured Xbox Scorpio and it’s VR compatibility.

UK PlayStation fans will bear the brunt of the time-zone differences, with Sony’s conference going ahead at 2am on 14 June.

The confusion started when Sony earlier announced on its blog site that the game will be released on June 7, along with a full lineup of other PlayStation titles ported for the PS4. Time exclusives aren’t as exciting as new game reveals, but they accomplish an important goal for a console maker: they establish which console a new player must purchase to play with friends.

A good number of these 2016 PS4 games are already confirmed thanks to E3 2015, and others will surely come out at E3 2016 in June. Geoffrey Zatkin, the Chief Product Officer at EEDGAR had previously stated that the current gen consoles of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One along with the Wii U will be the last of their kind. Sony’s VR headset is expected to be announced for a price of $399.

Wait, wasn’t the PlayStation 4 released not that long ago?

Although the information remained unclear about the release date and other details, fans have assumed that the price for Sony’s PS5 will cost £400 in the United Kingdom or $500 in the US.

The Xbox One hasn’t been as successful as the Xbox 360 was. However, there are rumors that the new hardware will be powerful enough to handle not only AAA titles but also virtual reality contents.

The biggest annual event in the video games calendar is expected to see Sony and Microsoft go head-to-head with new consoles.

Microsoft Xbox: Monday, June 13th at 5.30pm United Kingdom time.

E3 is merely a week away, and you won’t want to miss any of the biggest gaming events of the year. If current gaming hardware struggles to deliver a contemporary virtual reality experience (which it does, ) how antiquated is it going to look in three years when there are Google Daydream-compliant mobile VR doohickeys that do it substantially better? Players are looking forward on how the actual game play will look like and if everything will run smoothly on PS4, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
