Starbucks bets on nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee
The drink is now served at stores in Seattle and will be offered at 500 locations nationwide by the end of the summer, starting with Portland, New York, Chciago, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles, according to Starbucks. It’s a cold beverage which infuses Starbucks cold brew with nitrogen and creates a foamy coffee without ice.
Starbucks says more and more people are drinking iced coffee, and cold brew sales have grown by 338.9 percent since 2010.
Coffee lovers will get their cups of Nitro Cold Brew coffee straight from a tap where it’s going to come out cold ready to be served.
The trend has been spreading like a caffeinated wildfire ever since, and is now available at a number of speciality coffee shops like Brooklyn Roasting Company.

These cold brewed coffees are formed by soaking ground coffee beans for almost 20 hours, before they are used and are different from iced-coffee, which typically comprises of brewed hot coffee that is poured on ice.

Both the Nitro Cold Brew and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew will be available at stores around the country this summer.
