While Freda's verses were much better than Hakeem's (he mostly bragged about being rich, something he did nothing to achieve), his natural, irresistible charm left him the victor of the battle. Anika tried to be intimate with him but Hakeem told her that he's in love with Laura. Later, Anika tried to get close to Hakeem before breaking the pregnany news. This made him turn to Cookie Lyon (Taraji Henson) for help but was afraid to let Lucious know. Although it seemed like things were going great with her new lover Laz (Adam Rodriguez), Cookie will discover the secret that Laz is involved with the gang that kidnapped Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray). Hakeem, insulted, goes online to challenge Gatz to a rap battle. Freda took Hakeem's pride down about a hundred notches with the diss track "Daddy's Little Girl", but the two were fairly evenly matched when they faced off in a heated rap battle. However, Jamal realizes that to create the ideal song, he needs both of his parents to contribute their musical talents.

But Candace and Cookie won't be the only ones stirring the pot tonight.

Meanwhile, Cookie's spitfire sister (played by Vivica A. Fox) pays her a special visit, Jamal works on landing a major sponsorship deal with Pepsi, and Boo Boo Kitty receives a few life-changing news.
