Poland backs away from agreement on refugees

Interior Minister Anders Ygeman said Sunday that the situation was out of order and "wasn't meant to work like that".

In France, Ayham Al Khalaf, a Syrian journalist who fled from his home city Raqqa soon after it fell under Daesh control, said: "If a few French people already mistrusted Arabs, now that hate will increase".

Aside from that, Turkey's Antalya will host the Summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) on Sunday, which brings together participants from around the world.

Merkel said that securing Europe's borders and ensuring those deserving of protection receive it should be a priority.

She added that "of course we also face the expectation that there will be a fair distribution of refugees in Europe".

Snyder says MI is "proud of our rich history of immigration" but that Michigan's "priority is protecting the safety of our residents".

Under the deal, Poland agreed to take in 4,500 refugees.

The string of terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night killed at least 128 people.

French police's discovery of a Syrian passport near the body of one attacker has sparked concerns.

.

Saudi Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the terrorist attacks and offered condolences to France. "Even the far left and politically correct government of France has closed its borders".

"It can not be that we are not protecting our borders and that immigrants from Syria are arriving without being registered", Alexander Gauland, a deputy chairman of the populist Alternative for Germany party, said in an interview. "Islamist fundamentalism must be annihilated", she said, Saturday.

Peter Bouckaert, emergency director of the Human Rights Watch group also stressed that "the passport appears to have been fake" amid a widespread trade in travel documents.

A similar move from other European countries could destabilize the "union's entire governance system" and create a bigger challenge to the current refugee crisis.

European Council President Donald Tusk tweeted: "I follow with shock the attacks in Paris".

"In Syria there is war, here is war", said Ferhad Nezdevan, 29, from Syria.

Likewise, Malek Rozhdan, who is travelling with his wife Jusak and three children, said: "It's very very bad these days in Damascus, where we are coming from".

Paris is the latest target, but it will not be the last.

In the Netherlands, anti-Islam far-right leader Geert Wilders called on the government to close Dutch borders immediately, accusing the authorities of being in denial about connections between immigration and terrorism. "I would like to remind them to be serious about this and not to give in to these basic reactions which I do not like", Juncker said.

The incoming Polish Minister for European Affairs - Konrad Szymanski has termed the E.U. decision to accept refugees from Syria as naively idealistic following the Friday Paris attacks.

News that one of the terrorist attackers in Paris could have been a Syrian asylum seeker is feeding into the debate over the migrant crisis in Europe.

Speaking to reporters later, Szymanski, who assumes office Monday, said Poland would accept refugees, but only "if we have guarantees of security", according to the Associated Press.

"I would invite those in Europe who try to change the migration agenda we adopted".

The senator said the Paris attacks were highly organized and planned long ago.
