BBDO enjoys face rubbed in dog poo

Monday morning, we reported on a feeble Mountain Dew crowdsourcing campaign that was hijacked by 4chan and spammed with Hitler jokes until it admitted defeat and died.

Mountain Dew’s recent “Dub The Dew” campaign, then the company’s new green apple flavored soda wouldn’t have almost been named ‘Hitler Did Nothing Wrong,’ ‘Diabeetus’ or ‘Moist Nugget.’

Clearly crowdsourcing doesn’t work when targeted… and boy were they targeted….
