Yahoo has named Google executive Marissa Mayer as its new CEO.
The new CEO of Yahoo! is Marissa Mayer , she is one smart cookie and for the most part the face of Google for years.
She literally has been fighting for Google for years, so switching to Yahoo from Google is a big deal in the tech world, a really big deal.
The first thing that comes to mind is what did Yahoo! pay her? The figures must be mind staggering to jump a high level Google position to run with much smaller and far less innovative company like Yahoo.
We wish her all the best… and this is a huge win for Yahoo…. but she’s going to be fighting an uphill battle… Yahoo has no Android OS, no project glass, no iPhone or iPad, all these things have to be built ground up and she is going to be facing a stagnate culture that has proven time and time again to resist change.
Most likely Yahoo employees are going to have to expect a mountain of high level firings. Because if I where her, I would be firing everyone… and at one point.. I almost was her.
