What Facebook needs : GPS + Game + Mobile = advertising dollars

In the past few hours I launched the mobile campaign on Kickstarter (as many of you have seen from my previous post).

It’s a simple game, where people bomb their friends using their mobile and their GPS. What I noticed was that the majority of the early backers had an advertising background. It might be because it’s the circle I generally trend in online, but also because advertisers are seeing some serious value with the concept of being able to tell Dunkin Donuts that they have 27 potential customers at this exact moment are within 800 feet of their location at 1st and Main Street.

Advertisers would pay big money for that information, and the company that comes up with this now in a gaming format would be the one that would monetize mobile, without taking one penny from selling an app.

Facebook said they need to focus on mobile. So Mark, you want to help and back the project? We’ll most likely be using Facebook Connect :)
