Google Chrome : Shipped with Flash

September 2, 2008

In a shocker that should make most web-designers happy and somewhat of a shocker regarding Google Chrome.. it came shipped with flash… no plugin required… just had flash ready to go out of the box.

Out of all the new features that Chrome offers, this one was the most shocking to many new beta testers… they hit YouTube (a Google site) expecting to have to download a plugin … however it was ready to work… no download required.

We were disappointed however that it did not run in wine on a Linux box… so we had to dust off a Windows machine to test it out (we hate having to use that OS, we are Ubuntu users)

Well overall we are satisfied with the results, we like the render time, we like the fast load time and small footprint size.. we are not happy with having to pay Bill Gates to run it.

“We are so, so happy with Google Chrome,” mumbled Mozilla CEO John Lilly through gritted teeth. “That most of our income is from Google has no bearing on me making this statement.” – http://notnews.today.com/?p=57

NO, it doesn’t come with flash! You had flash installed in your Windows.
