We are hearing though the grapevine that there is a big development regarding Casey Jones, VP of Marketing at Dell. Rumor has it that he pushed for the Enfatico Advertising Agency model.. and might be paying for it…. The story is supposedly going to break shortly on Agency Spy.. we have heard speculation earlier from Parker… but from our understanding… the Agency Spy report is going to have FAR more dirt…
On Noes — > The Story is out:
Dell’s VP of Marketing, Casey Jones is now on Probation. The May 2007 hire, who pushed for the WPP consolidation plan, may not have much time left, at least that’s what we’re told.
The guy is in trouble for hiring Enfatico.. so what do you think happens in the Advertising world we live in…. let me help you…. shit flows downhill.
Hi TheFounder
Let me share what I shared with your friends at Mediabistro because I think it applies equally to you.
“I Don’t know where you got this notion, but there isn’t an ounce of truth in your conjecture. We understand that you’re in the gossip business, but you should have a modicum of responsibility when blindly speculating on an individual’s career. This is simply wrong.”
wow, this site cant stop talking about this.. did you get sacked or something?

You Dell Employees (basing that on the url that one of you provided) are going to have to complain to the source of the article… and that was media bistro…
Sacked? As in fired? … well that would be really difficult considering I never worked there… or for an agency that had anything to do with Dell…. so that should set the record straight..
My only view of the company is respect for being the first major outlet to sell Ubuntu Linux Machines (I bought one… feel better)…. However for your marketing… well time will tell….. but I don’t forsee this working out…. but what do I know.. I’m just a blogger…..
What I do know is that 257 days, 16 hours, 39 minutes, 27 seconds is both the time that the Dell / Wpp / Enfatico deal was signed and yet no ads have been produced. I also know from public records that Dell has allocated roughly a 4.5 billion dollar budget for this over 3 years.
That’s alot of time and money spent to produce no ads. But again I am just some random blogger… so what do you care what I write about….

Dear TheFounder
Lets set some information straight. The date we signed an agreement is not the same as the date that Enfatico began work. Also, I cannot account for you not seeing the advertisements or other marketing initiatives that Enfatico has worked with us on.
In addition, we care about good reputations not being besmirched, whether you consider yourself a random blogger or not

Richard,
If you want me to change the date.. then by all means tell me the date …. if I am wrong.. then PLEASE correct me… if the contract states that ‘work will begin’ in January 2009… then PLEASE correct me….
“Also, I cannot account for you not seeing the advertisements or other marketing initiatives that Enfatico has worked with us on.”
then by all means e-mail the ads / copy / anything…. it’s media@tribbleagency.com
Richard… I am not trying to be a prick.. in fact I don’t think Dell is the issue here… I love the company… I love the innovation coming out the company… (IE: Ubuntu machines for example) ….
Michael Dell was selling these computers out of his dorm room … and grew it to a company that has 4.5 billion to allocate to marketing …… Trust me.. I have nothing but respect for the company …
But in context you have to understand many of these blogs (Parker, Media Bistro, Tribble, etc) are ad agency blogs… meaning they are run by people that work in the industry… and we understand what is normal.. what what isn’t… considering many of the readers and the authors of these sites have owned agencies at one point. worked for agencies at one point or are currently working at agencies right now.
Why do we care?.
Well honestly I can’t speak for the other 200 blogs bitching about this… but for myself as a big open-source advocate.. the Ubuntu thing triggered me to supporting Dell anyway I can… meaning that I personally view Dell as one of the leading companies in that specific industry. So I personally get miffed when I see thing crazy things happening.. 10 year leases on 3 year contracts….
So blast me all you want… I just want what is best for Dell….
Again, take it for what it’s worth… from a random blogger that has a Dell made Ubuntu machine… IE: your client.

In the Mirage series, Casey is extremely violent, even more so than Raphael, but mellows throughout the course of the series. In “Shades of Gray,” he accidentally kills a teenager who tried to mug him. The incident sent him into a drunken spiral, damaging his relationship with April O’Neil.
