Open war breaks out between MediaBistro’s Agency Spy and Parker’s Ad Scam
May 27, 2008
In the past few days a full fledged war has broken out between Media Bistro’s Agency Spy and George Parker’s Ad Scam.
First was Parker’s Slam:
Anyway, the site is becoming rather boring, I’m afraid. Guys, try and say fuck, shit, piss and wanker more often. It will give it a certain literary class. Probably get up MediaBistro’s nose though… Then that’s the end of the big bucks. Oh well, you never thought you’d get rich blogging, did you? — From Parker
Then Media Bistro Retorted:
Adscam commented on this issue, so check that out if you like. Parker says he doesn’t want us to have his personal information. What are we, Nazis? Are we planning a take over? No, we’re not Nazis. We’re bloggers, Mr. Parker, and we want to talk about advertising. Don’t worry, we’re not going to sneak into your house in the middle of the night and steal your first edition signed “MadScam.” — retort from MediaBistro / Agency Spy
What a war of words between two A class Bloggers, and an interesting one at that. I actually enjoy reading both their blogs, but in this case we had to weigh in.
See our problem isn’t with the actual bloggers, they are doing awesome work.. our problem is with the tools Media Bistro gave to them.. a circa 1990’s era CMS system that is horrific to say the least.
They should be on a multi user Wordpress platform or something similar to that… instead they are on this system that their visitors and authors consider garbage. We even offered at Yooter to built them a valid CMS system using open source Linux and MySql and open source software that would allow them to generate revenue AND not be locked into proprietary software that forces them into a ‘crappy CMS’ over time as technology upgrades… but of course our contact went unanswered… (we didn’t contact the bloggers.. we went to their management to hear nothing but silence).
Enjoy the battle…. and Media Bistro Management… next time answer us when we call… we are actually trying to help. … and Parker… common man… you know damm well that the authors there are not happy with the tools given to them.. you have to separate the man from the machine when criticizing them.. they are actually trying their best with the tools given to them.
