Woah…. bump up taxes… off they go… amazing stuff.
WPP Chief Executive Sir Martin Sorrell has hinted that he may move the company to Ireland to reduce its tax bills. It would join United Business Media and Shire Pharmaceuticals in making the move across the Irish Sea.
Sorrell said that becoming tax resident in Ireland could save the firm tens of millions of pounds a year in tax. The world’s second biggest advertising agency pays about £200m in tax every year.
